Trouble Shooting Guide and Repairs
- If the unit continues to run constantly make sure the pump plug is plugged into the bottom of the controller NOT into the power point or piggy back plug. Also make sure the sensors are reading correctly.
- If you unit wont turn on try plugging the pump straight into the power point to find out if the problem is the pump or the controller or both?
- If your unit wont turn on check that sensors are displaying the correct temperature. If the sensors are faulty the unit will not run.
- Sensors – you can swap the roof and the pool sensor over for testing – most recent controllers have a white male and female connector which is just inside the bottom of the controller box – you can carefully pull the sensor wire out of the bottom of the controller and you will see a white connector you can then swap the sensors to check for faults.
- Most recent controllers will flash or put a red light on the display to indicate which sensor is not working. You need to check which sensor is faulty.
- Turn the controller onto manual to check that the controller is still working and also that the sensors are operating and updating.
If you contact us we need to know the model of the controller and if possible the approx. age (NOT 100% ESSENTIAL). The model is on the label and its usually a number like SC3D.
